EHCOView Product Summary EHCOView is a paperless report archiving system which allows management reports to be viewed online instead of printing them. Nightly-generated reports from a variety of sources are sent automatically to a dedicated server. Seconds after transfer, a report can be viewed in a browser. Available both as a module for ClinREACH (for web-based access) and also as a standalone application for a LAN, EHCOView will save on paper, printer maintenance, and distribution costs. EHCOView Product Details EHCOView (Electronic HardCopy Output Viewer) is an application that allows web-based or intranet access to electronic documents of any form, plus the ability of a user to annotate the document for all other authenticated users to see. Documents are classified by department, then group, and by report, and saved compressed on the EHCOView server. Security can be course or fine grained, allowing access just at the group level or even at the report level. Any document type is supported (e.g., .txt, .pdf, .tif, .xls, .doc, database files, image files, audio/video, fax); the only caveat is that the native document viewer is used on the end user's PC, so the applicable software (e.g., Adobe Acrobat Reader for .pdf) must already be installed there. A sophisticated viewer is provided for text documents which allows lines matching search criteria to be copied to the Windows clipboard for pasting into other applications such as Word or Excel. Some limited software has to be installed on each end-user PC as the report is sent to the PC encrypted. inREACH will supply this software for unlimited endusers as needed. The software fee includes license fees to inREACH and UTMB and for File Viewer and unlimited end-user access. The license allows you to add an unlimited number of reports/jobs, although note that the report source format may not be automatically compatible with PC's.
